Glenda Jean Snyder, 89, was called home Monday, June 16, 2025, to be with Jesus and her departed family and friends.

Born August 2, 1935, in Valley Head, she was a daughter of the late Earl Edward Snyder and Elva Mae Ware Snyder. Glenda had resided at The Brian Center in Low Moor, Virginia, for nearly a year.

She worked in the garment industry for many years at Jane Colby, then Clearwater in Goshen.

Over the years she enjoyed many hobbies, such as ceramics, playing guitar, fishing, painting, making pillows, playing cards, playing the lottery and she loved playing BINGO.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Andra “Andy” Lowell Sharp; grandson, Jason Andrew Sharp; brother, Boyd Snyder; sisters, Pau-line Snyder Rogers and Judy Snyder Townsend; and her beloved dog, Fluffy.

She is survived by her daughter, Lois Jean Sharp Workman (David); son, Earl Edgar Sharp (Sandy); sister, Betty Snyder Barb; grandchildren, Richard Lee Hefner II, Andrea Jean Hefner Larason (Doug), Brian Earl Sharp and Robert Lowell Sharp; and many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Glenda was a first cousin, once removed, of the famous Grand Ole Opry star, Wilma Lee (Leary) Cooper.

Many years ago, Glenda decided to be a donor to the WVSOM Human Gift Registry to help future doctors in their studies in the hopes they could learn something from her, to help someone else.

In honoring Glenda’s wishes, there will be a group memorial service through the WVSOM registry, which will be announced at a later date.

Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
