Ham-Bacon Projects
All 4-H and FFA members who plan to take the Ham/ Bacon Project for 2016-17 need to contact the Extension Office, 304-799-4852, by August 1.  The ownership deadline for the pigs is also August 1.
 
4-H Project Exhibits Due
All 4-H members are reminded that project exhibits are due at the Marlinton Wellness Center Wednesday, August 3, between 8 and 11 a.m.
 
4-H Project Exhibit Fair
The public is invited to view the 4-H project exhibits at this year’s County 4-H Project Exhibit Fair at the Marlinton Wellness Center Thursday, August 4, and Friday, August 5,  from noon until 6 p.m. both days.  Homemade ice cream will be served Friday afternoon. 
 
 4-H Leaders Meeting
All 4-H leaders are reminded that the Leaders Association will meet Friday, August 5, at 6 p.m. at the Marlinton Wellness Center following the Project Exhibit Fair.
 
Pressure Canner Testing
Pressure Canner Testing for canner lids with dial gauges is available in the Extension Office.  In order to have your canner tested, bring only your canner lids with dial gauges.  Free educational materials on food preservation are also available. Call the Extension Office at 304-799-4852 to schedule a time before canning season starts.
 
Dramas, Fairs and
Festivals Applications
Applications for Dramas, Fairs and Festivals grants for this quarter are due in the Extension Office by August 1. If you have any questions or need a copy of the revised application form, please call the office at 304-799-4852.
