What’s Cookin’?

Hot Wings

7 to 8 pounds of fresh or frozen wings (thawed)

4 cups catsup

2 ½ cups packed brown sugar

1/3 cup water

1 cup Louisiana Hot Sauce

1/3 cup Worcestershire Sauce

2 ½ tsp. chili powder

2 tsp. garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder.

Place the chicken wings in 2 greased 15 x 10 inch baking pans.

In a large bowl combine the remaining ingredients.

Pour over wings.

Bake uncovered at 350º for 1 hour or until chicken juices run clear.

Spoon sauce from pan over wings, if desired.

 

West Virginia Beans

15 oz. lima beans, drained

15 oz. kidney beans, drained

15 oz. pork and beans

15 oz. Del Monte Mexican ripe tomatoes

1 cup catsup

¾ cup brown sugar

1 small onion, chopped

1 small green pepper, chopped

1 pound mild or hot pork sausage, browned and drained.

Mix together in crock pot and cook on low 4 to 5 hours.

 

 Super Salmon Loaf

1 can salmon

1 cup grated carrots

1 cup bread crumbs

1 small onion, chopped

½ tsp. pepper

2 eggs

½ cup milk

1 tsp. paprika

½ tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients together, and shape into loaf.

Bake at 375 º for 45 minutes.

This can also be made into patties and fried in a skillet with a small amount of butter.
