Shirley Cromer

Shirley Irene Cromer, age 89, of Marlinton, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte.

Born February 16, 1925, at Warren, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah Albaugh Wanless.

Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntersville and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert H. Cromer; a son, Wayne Cromer; and a great-granddaughter.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Friel, of Marlinton; a son, Alfred Lee Cromer, and wife, Shirley, of LaGrange, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service was December 1 at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Pastors Phillip Thompson and Aaron Trigg officiating. Interment was in the Gibson Cemetery near Slaty Fork.
