Iced Pea Soup
Shell 2 lbs. of peas, saving the pods.
Cover with water and cook the pods (peas will be cooked separately) with several slices of onions, 1 stalk celery, parsley, salt and pepper until tender.
Drain and reserve the liquid.
Cook the peas and put through a sieve.
Add peas to first liquid. Thin with cream.
Chill well and serve topped with chopped chives.
Best Hamburgers Ever
2 pounds ground beef
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
3 Tbsp. evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 cloves minced garlic
In large bowl, mix all ingredients and form 8 hamburger patties.
Lightly oil the grill grate.
Grill the burgers on a hot grill 5 minutes per side, or until done to your taste.
