Sassafras Tea
Put dry, clean roots in a pan of water and soak overnight.
Boil until tea is dark in color and fairly strong.
Weaken the tea with water, and sweeten with sugar to taste.
May be boiled over and over for several days.
Flavor increases the more it is boiled.
May stain your cookware.

Dear God,
So far today, I’ve done all right,
Not once today have I gossiped,
Not once today have I lost my temper,
Not once today have I been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or overindulgent.
I am very thankful for that, but in a few minutes, God, I’m gonna get out of bed; and from then on, I’m probably going to need a lot more help.
