Get Ready For the Holidays
Colorful Kraut Salad
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
2 cups sauerkraut, drained
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup red pepper or pimiento, chopped
Combine sugar and vinegar, bring to a boil.
Set aside to cool.
Combine vegetables, and pour vinegar mixture over them.
Refrigerate overnight.
Cranberry-Walnut Relish
1 cup coarsely broken walnuts
2- 1 lb. cans cranberry sauce
1 cup orange marmalade
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Place walnuts in pan.
Bake at 350º for about 12 minutes.
Cool.
Add remaining ingredients.
Chill.
Serve with meat dishes.
