Frozen Vegetable Soup

6 small ears of corn
2 gallons ripe tomatoes, chopped
2 red peppers
2 green peppers
1 hot pepper
2 cups carrots
2 cups lima beans
2 cups green beans
6 onions chopped
1 bunch celery
3 cups fresh or frozen peas
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. salt
Combine all ingredients. Boil 30 minutes. Cool several hours and freeze in wide mouth pint or quart canning jars. Makes approximately 10 quarts.

Broccoli Salad
1 bunch broccoli, tops only
1 cup raisins
1/2 medium onion, chop-ped
1/2 cup slivered almonds
6 strips bacon, crumbled
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tsp. vinegar
1/3 cup sugar
Toss together broccoli, raisins, onion, almonds and bacon.
To make dressing, blend together mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar.
Toss into salad and serve well chilled
