Warrior Boys Soccer ~ wins two out of three in one week

Warrior Boys Soccer started off the week with an 8 to 2 win Tuesday over Pendleton County.

Junior Hunter Shafer, sophomore Kolton Alderman and freshman Jacob Davis led the scoring with two goals each. Senior Trey Rabel and freshman Tony Duncan added one each.

Alderman led with two assists. Rabel, Duncan, Senior Jarret Taylor and sophomore Vinicius Martins each had one.

Junior Goalie Kyle Cohenour had five saves and freshman T. D. Sparks had four saves.

Pendelton had just 11 shots on goal due to the great defensive skills of junior Elijah Robertson, freshman Hadden Mick, sophomore Garrett Coleman, freshman Bryson Cassell and senior Gus Foe.

The Warriors had another great game Wednesday night, beating James Monroe 9 to 1. Duncan, Rabel and senior Matthew Pritt led the scoring with two goals each. Other Warriors making it into the net were junior Peyton Coleman, Alderman and Davis.

Sophomores Garrett Coleman and Alderman led with two assists.

Shafer, Pritt and Taylor each added an assist.

Freshman Goalie T. D. Sparks had 15 saves for the night.

The team took its game on the road Saturday, traveling to Phillip Barbour to play in the midday heat.

The Warriors played a great game, but came up short in the end with a 1 to 2 loss.

Rabel had the only goal with the assist coming from Alderman.

Cohenour had another busy game with 24 saves.
