Wallace Shears

Wallace Kyle “Wally” Shears, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014.

Born September 9, 1942, at Arbovale, he was a son of the late Bernard and Hazel Gillispie Shears; and a grandson of the late Clifford and Rosa McQuain Gillispie and Luther and Sadie Wenger Shears.

Wallace was a 1960 graduate of Green Bank High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Korea in 1964. He worked as a welder, mason and painter. He enjoyed his cats, raising a garden and visiting with his neighbors in Dunmore.

He is survived by four brothers, Warren, of Louisville, Kentucky, and Willard, George and Randall, all of Arbovale; and two sisters, Charlotte Ervine, of Green Bank, and Vicky Shears, of Morgantown.

A memorial service will be held in July 2015.
