Penny Miller

Penny Ellen “Alma” “Pete” Miller, age 90, of Cass, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.

Born January 13, 1926, at Hosterman, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Anna Mae Collins Cassell.

Penny was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Sheets; and two brothers, Neal Cassell and Johnny Cassell.

She is survived by a daughter, Polly Hammond, and friend, Don Hise, of Cass; three sisters, Virginia Cassell, of Hillsboro, Shelby McLaughlin, of Dunmore, and Mary Perkins, of Buchannon; two brothers, Chester Cassell, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Brown Cassell, of Cass; and two grandchildren, William Hammond, of Severna Park, Maryland, and Patrick Casey, of Baltimore, Maryland.

In keeping with her wishes, the body was cremated and no service was held.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pocahontas County, 410 Second Avenue, Marlinton, WV 24954.
