Old Mountain Tavern

Baseball Trainer and entrepreneur Daniel Flores, of White Sulphur Springs, recently relocated to Marlinton and opened Old Mountain Tavern on Main Street. Located next door to Alfredo’s Greek and Italian Restaurant, customers at the Tavern can enjoy bar snacks and order specific items from Alfredo’s menu. Old Mountain Tavern had a soft opening last Wednesday, leading to a successful first week of operation – which included live music by October Moon Friday night. Flores and his friendly staff want the tavern to be a local hangout where customers can enjoy food and all legal beverages, watch big screen TVs – with “live sports” on demand. Live music, karaoke and open mic nights are planned. Flores was a Food and Beverage Supervisor and General Manager at The Greenbrier. What does he think of Marlinton? “I love it,” he said. Tavern hours are 1 p.m. to midnight Monday through Friday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday; and 1 to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Phone 304-799-4788
