Mark Johnston

Mark Odell Johnston, 56, of Bartow, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021, at his home.

Born July 21, 1964 at Harmon, he was a son of Mildred Lambert Johnston and the late Odell Raines Johnston.

Mark was a logger. He was a Christian by his faith in God.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Polly Johnston Tingler.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Simmons Johnston; a daughter, Marie Elizabeth Johnston, of Circle- ville; a son, Jacob Shane Johnston, of Mill Creek; a step-son, Wesley Dale Simmons (Ashleigh), of Petersburg; grandchildren, Cole- man Johnston Shiflett, Paisley Mae Lambert and Avalene Jenson Johnston; sister, Annette Hememick (Dale), of Cumberland, Maryland; brother, Jay Johnston (Crystal), of Bartow; niece and nephews, Derek Johnston, Corey Johnston, Jesse Johnston and Ella Johnston.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, at Thornwood Community Church, with Pastor Carl Radcliff and Pastor Mark Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale.
