Karen Shinaberry

Beloved mother and wife, Karen Sue Shinaberry, age 68, of Frank, passed away peacefully, at her home, Sunday, February 16, 2014.

Born August 21, 1945, she was a daughter of the late James Clarence and Anna Lee Wilfong.

Karen retired from Pocahontas Memorial Hospital as a CNA and had worked with the Bartow-Frank-Durbin Rescue Squad as an EMT. She was a Methodist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wilfong; and a sister, Dorothy Jones.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Carlen D. Shinaberry, of Frank; four daughters, Theresa “Terri” Weimer, and husband, Ronald, of Cass, Kimberly Johnson, and husband, Kirk, of Olympia, Washington, Sheila Burgess, of Franklin, Tennessee, and Carla Cascio, and husband, Joseph, of Baltimore, Maryland; four grandsons, Kevin Weimer, and wife, Sue, of Weston, Mark Weimer, and wife, Kelley, of Cass, Alexander Johnson, of Olympia, Washington, and David Cascio, of Batlimore, Maryland; four granddaughters, Emily Sapp, and husband Andres, of Sebring, Florida, Ellen Burgess, of Nashville, Tennessee, Amber Johnson, of Olympia, Washington, and Annalea Cascio, of Baltimore, Maryland; two great-grandchildren, Michael Weimer, of Cabin Creek, and Carlen G. Weimer, of Cass; and three brothers, James Wilfong, of Frank, Ronald Wilfong, of Marlinton, and Gene Wilfong, of Cass.

Per her wishes, the body was cremated. A memorial service will be held in March.
