Judith Ann “Judy” Loury Workman, age 78, of Mt. Ulla, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, North Carolina.

Born November 5, 1940, in Minnehaha Springs, she was a daughter of the late Dale Loury and Audrey Cleek Loury.

Judy was a homemaker. She dearly loved all her family. She loved watching hummingbirds and spending time at the beach. She was a member of Triplett United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Boone; and a brother-in-law, Roger Boone.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James M. Workman, III; children, Jamie Workman and Elizabeth W. Stapleton (Greg); brother, David Loury (Peggy); sister, Sandy Wagner (Keith); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 7 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Chapel in Mooresville, North Carolina. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
