Elizabeth Ann Rucker Sharp died Sunday, December 29, 2013.

Born September 4, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Adrian Arthur and Margaret Grace Edwin Rucker.

Elizabeth loved her family and spent her life taking care of them. She worked at Glen L. Martins in Baltimore, Maryland, for a short time during World War II as a “Rosie the Riveter” type employee. She returned to Marlinton and waited for her husband, Arlie Douglas Sharp, to come back from World War II.

In 1950, the couple went to Baltimore, Maryland, where Arlie worked at the Bethlehem Steel Company and Elizabeth took care of the family. After Arlie’s retirement, they traveled all over the country and greatly enjoyed themselves.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, and many brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Sharp Kuhrmann, and husband, Frederick; a grandson, Douglas Charles Kuhrmann; a granddaughter, Kerry Lynn Ballek, and husband, Alan.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
