Donald James Circosta, 78, of Ronceverte, formerly of Marlinton, died Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at home.

Born July 30, 1945, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late James Circosta and Hallie Grimes McCarty.

He was a 1963 graduate of Marlinton High School and was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was a correctional officer, a member of the Trinity Baptist Church at Buckeye, Loyal Order of the Moose and Marlinton Lodge #127 AF & AM.

On November 8, 1969, he married Barbara Ann Vans-coy Circosta, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Angela McMillion (Sidney), of Ronceverte; sons, Travis James Circosta (Treana), of Cumberland, Maryland, and Brandon Circosta, of Low Moor, Virginia; sister, Judy Wilfong (Oliver), of Pennsylvania; step-sisters, Charlotte Thomas (Randy), of Clifton Forge, Virginia, and Sandy Circosta, of White Sulphur Springs; five grandchildren, Adreanna, Dena, Caroline, Amanda and Brandon; and a great-granddaughter, Macy.

The funeral service was held Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton with Jimmy Arbogast officiating.

Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Army Honor Guard and Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corps.
