Carl McNeill

Carl Brown McNeill, age 88, of Morganton, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 12, 2018.

Born Tuesday, October 15, 1929, in Pocahontas County, he was a son of the late Lock and Eleanor Howard McNeill.

Carl was a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was known as a hardworking man who always provided for his family. He was never in a bad mood and had a kind heart.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Glenna McNeill; two sisters; and three brothers.

Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Lock H. McNeill, and wife, Anne, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Bradley D. McNeill, and wife, Betty, of Morganton, North Carolina; a daughter, Nancy M. Murphy, and husband, Jeff, of Hudson, North Carolina; brother, Stanley McNeill, and wife, Pat, of Buckeye; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held February 16 at Bible Missionary Baptist Church. Interment was in Burke Memorial Park.
