Each year the PMH Auxiliary decorates a “Love Light” tree in the reception area with ornaments sold in memory of –or to honor – loved ones. For the past three years, all money raised from the project has been contributed to the hospital’s Capital Campaign for room improvements.

After receiving a large bequest from the Donald Pethtal Estate in 2013, which funded significant improvements both inside and out, PMH decided to launch a Capital Campaign to keep the momentum going. The hospital hopes to renovate each patient room in the facility. Every contribution helps tremendously in providing healthcare to Pocahontas County’s community members and visitors.

The PMH Auxiliary was formed in 1972 with 94 active and associate members and through the years has contributed more than $100,000 of equipment and improvements at the hospital. Funds are raised through various fundraisers throughout the year as well as from the hospital Gift Shop.

If you are interested in making a contribution to the Capital Campaign or would like more information about the PMH Auxiliary, please contact the Administration Office at 304-799-1020.
