Alvin Hise

Alvin Ray Hise, age 56, of Bartow, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017, at his home.

Born May 19, 1961, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Edward Samuel and Callie Mable Starks Hise.

Alvin was a United States Army Veteran. He was a jack-of-all-trades, an avid outdoorsman and a logger by trade. In his lifetime, he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his faithful dog, Toby; sisters, Holly Gochenour, of Mt. Sidney, Virginia, and Diane Morris, of Frank; brothers, Clay Hise, and wife, Laura, of Dunmore, and E. Tim Morris, of Thornwood; and nieces and nephews, Clinton Morris, Molly Morris, Melissa and Spud Rexrode, and their son, Dakin, Donnie Lawson, Derek Lawson, Adam Marion, Tyler Hise, Isaac Hise and Jacob Hise.

A celebration of life was held November 19, 2 p.m. at the Thornwood Community Church with Robert Wegman officiating.
