Abbie Kerr

Abbie Neal Kerr, age 84, of Dunmore, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013, at her home.

Born May 13, 1929, at Cass, she was a daughter of the late George Dallas and Mary Frances Syms Tacy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Landis and Bertie Cassell; and four brothers, George Tacy, Ollie Tacy, Berl Tacy and John Tacy.

She is survived by her husband, Merle Gene Kerr; daughters, Shirley Marie Curry, of Dunmore, Margaret Ginger Thomas, of Waynesboro, Virginia, Vicki Lynn Hull, and husband, Douglas, of Ruckersville, Virginia, and Brenda Frances Conner, of Dunmore; a son, Merle Gene Kerr, Jr., and wife, Trudy, of Strasburg, Virginia; a brother, Oliver Hevener Tacy, of Bowling Green, Virginia; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was private.
