WVU Extension will host its Winter Educational Dinner meeting Tuesday, February 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Marlinton Municipal Building auditorium.
Dr. Darin Matlick is a Clinical Associate Professor with the Davis College, WVU Extension ad Potomac State College. Darin graduated from WVU with a BS in Animal Science in 1999 and Ohio State Veterinary college in 2002. His first job was at Casselman’s Veterinary Services in Grantsville, Maryland. He has been with WVU since 2003 and served in various roles in the University as well as clinical Veterinarian. Dr. Matlick started the Potomac State College Heifer program in 2017 and serves on the Wardensville Bull Test Committee. Dr. Matlick will discuss the details of calving management, the emerging cattle disease Theilera and the Asian Longhorn Ticks that spread the disease. Attendance at the meeting is worth (3) pesticide applicator recertification credits for categories 11, 12, and PA. For those who would like dinner, there’s a $5.00 charge to help cover the cost.
