4-H Camp Work-Day
Attention all 4-Hers, families, friends and supporters:  You are invited to the Pocahontas County 4-H Camp at Thornwood for a Camp “Clean-Up / Fix-Up” Work-Day on Saturday, April 16, starting at 9 a.m.  Hot dogs will be provided, and everyone is invited to bring a snack or covered dish to share for lunch. Also, please bring rakes, grass trimmers, shovels, buckets and scrub brushes, and any cleaning supplies and equipment that you have available to help get our camp in good shape for the camping season. We may also need some folks to help clean out a hiking trail, so bring your hiking shoes.  Make plans now to join us for our 4-H Camp Work-Day.
 
Sponsors Needed for
4-H Camp T-Shirts
Sponsors are needed for the Pocahontas County 4-H Camp T-shirts. All sponsors are asked to contribute $50 and their names will be printed on the back of the T-shirts which will given to every 4-Her attending county camp.  If any business, organization or individual is interested in being a 2016 sponsor, please call the Extension Office at 304-799-4852 by April 15.
 
Energy Express
Opportunities 
Energy Express service/employment opportunities are still available for the 2016 Marlinton Elementary Energy Express Site for mentors and community coordinator. To learn more about how to become involved or to request an employment application, call the WVU Pocahontas County Extension Office at 304-799-4852 or visit the Energy Express website at www.energyexpress.wvu.edu   Applications will be accepted only until all positions are filled.
 Farmers Market
voucher training
Pocahontas County Farmers Market vendors can receive senior and SNAP voucher training Monday, April 11, at 4 p.m. at the McClintic Library in Marlinton.  For more information please call the WVU Extension Office at 304-799-4852.
Pocahontas Beekeepers Meeting
The next meeting for the Pocahontas County Beekeepers will be held Wednesday April 20, at 7 p.m. at Marlinton Wellness Center.  For more information please call the WVU Extension Office at 304-799-4852.  Everyone is welcome.
