William Lambert

William Oakland “Bill” Lambert, age 63, of Bartow, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Born February 3, 1953, at Meadsville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Oakland and Virginia Vandevender Lambert.
Bill was a truck driver for 47 years, and was recently employed by Maple Leaf Trucking at Slaty Fork. He was a former member of the BFD Fire and Rescue Squad and a handyman for everyone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Stacy Lambert in 1994; and a brother, Dwayne Lambert.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susie Lambert; a son, Patrick Lambert, of Bartow; sisters, Lucille Mallow, and husband, Delmar, Sandy Greathouse, and husband, Tom, Pamula Ober, and husband, Terry, all of Bartow, Patricia DeHaven, and husband, David, of Frank, and Wanda Greathouse, and husband, Donald, of Durbin; four brothers, Dale Lambert, and wife, Nita, of Bartow, Roger Lambert, of Florida, Ronnie Lambert, and wife, Crissy, of Elkins, and Danny Lambert, of Durbin; a very special niece, Ashley Lambert, of Cherry Grove; an uncle, Carl Wimer, of Mt. Jackson, Virginia; many nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Palco and Mossy.
Funeral service was February 7 at Thornwood Community Church with Pastors Carl Greathouse and Dave Plank officiating. Interment was in the Lambert Cemetery on Elk Mountain.
