Stuffed Green Peppers\r\n8 ozs. tomato sauce\r\n1\/2 lb. ground beef\r\n1 cup day-old bread\r\n crumbs\r\n1 tsp. salt\r\n1\/4 pepper\r\n1 Tbsp. chopped onions\r\n4 large green peppers\r\n1 cup boiling water\r\nCut each pepper in half. Wash and clean out seeds.\r\nCook in boiling water for 5 minutes.\r\nDrain.\r\nMix first six ingredients together.\r\nStuff peppers with mixture.\r\nPut in baking dish.\r\nBake, covered, for 45 minutes at 350\u00ba.\r\nUncover, and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer. \r\n\r\nFried Corn\r\n3 ears of corn, cut off the\r\ncob\r\n1 Tbsp. sugar\r\nSalt and pepper to taste\r\n6 finely crushed crackers\r\n1 egg, beaten\r\n2 Tbsp. Crisco\r\n1 Tbsp. butter\r\nMelt Crisco and butter in skillet.\r\nAdd corn, and season with salt and pepper.\r\nSprinkle with cracker crumbs\r\nAdd egg.\r\nStir frequently while browning.\r\nCooks in about 10 minutes.
