Saltine Fire Crackers
Family recipe from Kelli Hatcher
Mix in a one-gallon zip lock bag:
4 heaping Tbsp. Ranch seasoning
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
2 cups olive oil
Add to the mix, one entire box of saltine crackers. Seal bag and let sit overnight, rotating bag to be sure crackers are coated well.
Spread onto a cookie sheet and bake in a 250º oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Don’t over brown.
Cool and enjoy.
Baked Brie with Pesto
and Pine Nuts
1 wheel Brie cheese
1 Tbsp. pesto seasoning
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Tbsp. pine nuts
1 clove garlic, minced
Preheat oven to 450º. Trim off top of Brie (leave sides on, making its own container) and place Brie in 8” or 9” pie pan.
Mix pesto seasoning with olive oil, pine nuts and garlic. Spread over top of Brie and sprinkle with pepper if desired.
Bake 10 minutes or until Brie is warmed through.
Serve warm with bread or crackers.
Black pepper water crackers are great with this.
