Cooking For One or Two
Ginger Pork
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 pound pork tenderloin, cut into thin strips
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
Hot cooked rice
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Stir-fry the pork and garlic for three minutes.
Combine soy sauce, sugar and ginger; add to skillet.
Reduce heat to medium, and stir-fry for three-to-four minutes until pork is no longer pink.
Combine water and cornstarch; stir until smooth.
Add to skillet.
Bring to a boil and stir for two minutes.
Serve over rice.
Green Beans
1 1/4 cups fresh green beans
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1/3 cup water
1 tsp. soy sauce
Dash of ground ginger
In a saucepan, sauté beans in oil over medium heat for four minutes.
Add water.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the beans are crisp-tender.
Drain and toss with soy sauce and ginger.
