Family Reunion Recipes\r\n\r\nSlow Cooked Mixed Beans\r\n1 1\/2 cups ketchup\r\n1 onion, chopped\r\n1 green pepper, chopped\r\n1 sweet red pepper, chopped\r\n1\/2 cup water\r\n1\/2 cup packed brown sugar\r\n2 bay leaves\r\n2 to 3 tsp. cider vinegar\r\n1 tsp. ground mustard\r\n1\/8 tsp. pepper\r\n1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained\r\n1 can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained\r\n1 can lima beans\r\n1 can black beans, rinsed and drained\r\n1 can black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained\r\nCombine the first 10 ingredients in a 5-quart slow cooker. \r\nStir in the beans and peas. \r\nCover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or until onion and peppers are tender. \r\nDiscard bay leaves.\r\n\r\nA Better Lemonade\r\nSqueeze the juice from 4 lemons, 4 limes and 4 oranges and pour into a gallon container. \r\nThinly slice the remaining fruit and set aside for garnish. \r\nAdd water and sugar to the juices and mix well. \r\nStore in the refrigerator. \r\nServe over ice with fruit slices.
