RoadKill Cookbook

Ebb’s RoadKill Stew
James Poole
Rockbridge Baths,
Virginia

Black bear roast
White tail deer hind quarter
6 onions
4 cans beef gravy
1 quart morel mushrooms
3 quarts diced potatoes
3 cans carrots
3 cans green beans
3 cans lima beans
3 cans corn
3 cans peas
1 quart tomatoes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Boil bear and deer in stainless steel pot with onions and beef gravy. Meat should come off the bone. Chop meat and add back into the pot. Add vegetables and bring to a boil, then let simmer.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with oyster crackers.

Ebb’s Turkey Salad
1 wild turkey breast
5 pounds canned chicken breast
Celery
Onion
Sweet relish
Tomatoes
Miracle Whip
Salt and pepper to taste
Boil turkey breast until tender. Chop turkey breast; blend chicken breast, relish, celery, tomatoes, Miracle Whip, salt and pepper to taste.
Chill to 32 degrees and serve on Ritz crackers.
