Good Candy

1 large or 2 small pkg. chocolate or butterscotch chips
1 can Eagle brand milk
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
Pinch of salt
1 cup nuts
 
Put chips into double boiler to melt.
Add milk and peanut butter.
Cook four minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add nuts, and beat until smooth.
Pour into a well-greased pan.
Must set for several hours.
 
Oatmeal Pie
Helen Yeager
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup dark Karo syrup
6 Tbsp. melted butter
 1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar
½ cup quick oats
6 Tbsp. milk
½ cup coconut
Two unbaked pastry shells
Mix all ingredients and pour into unbaked pastry shells.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
Makes two pies.
