She was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Durbin.

Those left to cherish Vie’s memory are four children, Roberta Turner, and husband, Neal, of Martinsburg, Regina Gum, and husband, Kevin, of North Carolina, Rebecca Curry, and husband, Steven, of Durbin, and David Cassell, and wife, Sherry, of Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Per her request, the body was cremated. A Celebration of Life was held August 7 at New Life in Christ Fellowship Church in Durbin with Pastor Randy Ware officiating.
