Sherrie Taylor Bumgarner, 61, of Droop Mountain, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020.
Born April 10, 1959, she was a daughter of Margarett Taylor, of Droop Mountain, and the late Herman Taylor.
Sherrie graduated in the Class of 1977 from Pocahontas County High School.
She had been employed at Kellwood Company, Brier Inn and Pocahontas Center and as a caregiver.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, April Bumgarner, of Droop Mountain; son, D. J., of Lexington, North Carolina; grandson, Aidan; and brother, Tom Taylor, of Hillsboro.
At her request, the body will be cremated, and there will be no service.
Her ashes will be spread where she wanted to be.
