Semi truck crashes near Durbin

A semi truck carrying a load of pallets crashed Friday night going up Cheat Mountain, three miles north of Durbin. Rescue squads from Cass, Durbin, Huttonsville, Mill Creek and Randolph County responded to the scene. The squads worked together for an hour to extricate the driver from the wreckage. The driver, who was reported to be conscious and alert, was air evacuated from Mill Creek to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. A passenger was also evacuated from the scene.
