Robert Joe “Bob” Wilson, age 89, of Lewisburg, formerly of Minnehaha Springs and Ironton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

Born April 17, 1927, Easter Sunday, in Ironton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Orville and Eva Mae Kelley Wilson.

Bob was raised in Ironton and Rock Camp, Ohio. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Military Police in post World War II Germany from 1945 to 1947. After returning from the military, Bob graduated from Kitts Hill High School in 1947.

Bob was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Following his work as a machinist at the Ironton Machine Shop and retirement from Ashland Oil Refinery where he was a machinist, maintenance supervisor and security guard, Bob and his wife, Treva, moved to Minnehaha Springs. The couple lived in Minnehaha Springs for several years before moving to The Seasons Assisted Living in Lewisburg.

Bob was a devoted family man, who will be greatly missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Wilson, Vernon Wilson and Ronald Wilson; and two sisters-in-law, Alma Wilson and Ginni Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Treva Shively Wilson; two children, R. Dale Wilson, and wife, Emily, of East Lansing, Michigan, and Rita Wilson Kelly, and husband, Tony, of Minnehaha Springs; three grandchildren, Travis Wilson, and wife, Erin, of Okemos, Michigan, Brandon Kelly, and wife, Kristen, of Minnehaha Springs, and Staci Kelly, and Justin Smith, of Goose Creek, South Carolina; two great-grandsons, Jesse Kelly, of Minnehaha Springs, and Cole Robert Wilson, of Okemos, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Joyce Wilson; a niece, Rhonda Wilson; and a nephew, Tim Wilson.
S
ervice was held at Tracy Brammer Monroe Funeral Home in Ironton, Ohio, followed by graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio.

Memorials may be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
