Robert Daniel McCutcheon, age 90, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Quincy Village Nursing Center in Quincy, Pennsylvania.

Born October 25, 1924, at Webster Springs, he was one of 10 children of the late Luster Clark and Iva Shomo McCutcheon.

Robert married Ruth B. Blackhurst McCutcheon on October 10, 1947, in Cass. She died July 18, 2010.

He worked for the Federal Government and was an Inspector General of the Department of Energy.

Robert was a proud Navy Veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. He was a radioman Third Class, serving on the USS LST 1013. He enjoyed the comradery of being a member of the LST Group of Greencastle, Pennsylvania.

He attended Grace Bible Church and formerly attended the old Calvary Bible Church, both of Greencastle, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Pentalpha Masonic Lodge #194 of Germantown, Maryland, a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel M. McCutcheon on August 3, 2002.

He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Ney, and husband, Don, of Mt. Vernon, Washington; a son, Robert D. McCutcheon, II, and wife, Debra, of Frederick, Maryland; eight grandchildren, Bob, and wife, Noel, Julie, John, Mark, Rachel, and husband, Adam, Sarah, Emily and Carly; and a great-granddaughter, Nathalie.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 13, 11 a.m. at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 14, 11 a.m. at the Arbovale Cemetery with Military Rites by the Pocahontas County Honor Corps.
