Richard A. Wanless, of Huntersville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Richard was a disabled heavy equipment mechanic and the former pastor of New Vision Praise and Worship Center.
He loved working on and driving fast cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Wanless; son, Nicholas O. Wanless; and brother, Hal Wanless.
He is survived by his daughters, April D. Harper (Brad), and Amanda L. Dilley (Henry); son, Richard W. Wanless (Alyssa); seven grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Funeral service was held Sunday, August 23, 2026, at New Vision Praise and Worship Center with Richard A. Wanless II officiating.
Burial was in Beaver Creek Cemetery.
