Richard Moore

Richard Lee “Rick” Moore, age 62, of Marlinton, died Tuesday, January 14, 2017, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.

Born November 19, 1954, at Marlinton, he was a son of Keith E. and Demetria Biggs Moore, of Marlinton.

Rick was a welder. He was a United States Army Veteran and was of the Presbyterian faith.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela J. Moore.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sons, Matthew Adam Moore, of Chester, Virginia, Nicholas L. Payne, of Culpeper, Virginia, Benjamin A. Moore and Aaron R. Moore, both of Marlinton, and Jonathan A. Moore, of Lewisburg; two sisters, Lorie J. McElwee, of Charles Town, and Sandra L. Sharp, of Marlinton; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was held January 28 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Felton officiating.
