Randall Alan Ross, 61, of Tempe, Arizona, peacefully passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, after a hard-fought health battle, surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 3, 1962, in Marlinton, he was a son of the late Dewey and Dianna Kay McLaughlin Ross, and grandson of the late Basil and Geraldine Sheets McLaughlin.

The family settled in Tucson and Randy graduated from Santa Rita High School followed by a BA Accounting degree from the University of Arizona, and a MS Taxation degree from Arizona State University. He spent his professional career as a CPA and built his own business to serve his Tempe community.

Randy was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was known to all for his unfiltered, quick-witted sense of humor. He spoke in “Randyisms” that brought automatic responses, smiles, laughter and sometimes groans from those who loved him; he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his girls, the greatest pride and joys of his life: wife of 22 years, Lori Northcutt, and daughters, Libby and Haley; sisters, Ronda Swenson (Steven) and Reneé Chocklett (Kevin); father-and mother-in-law, Earl and Peggy Northcutt; sister-in-law, Jennifer Watkins; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog, Nala.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Details to be determined.

Contributions in his memory can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
