Ralph Moore

Ralph M. Moore, II, age 46, passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his residence in Riverton, Illinois.

Born July 2, 1967, at Lititz, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Ruth Nolt Moore Keener, of Riverton, Illinois, and the late Ralph M. Moore.

After graduating from Pocahontas County High School in 1986, Ralph worked in a shoe factory, knitting mills, Turkey Hill convenience stores and Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

Ralph enjoyed helping folks in need and defending those who were being abused. He loved cats and adopted two kittens in August. He faithfully cared for his grandmother, Beulah Moore, and his father when their health was failing.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA and owned a small gun shop for several years.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father; and a stillborn brother.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Arlene Moore, and husband, Jerry; niece, Brittany Moore; step-brother, Herbert Keener, Jr.; step-sister, Alyce Keener; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His sense of humor will be sadly missed by his family, his longtime friend, Deb Sapphire, and all who knew him.

The family will have a memorial service in Pennsylvania and in West Virginia in the spring.

Services are entrusted to Walker Funeral Services, 2300 East Cook Street, Springfield, IL 62703.
