Betty Colaw

Betty Lou Fisher Colaw, age 78, of Richmond, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 25, 2013.

Betty was a native of West Virginia. She was a longtime resident of Richmond, Virginia, where she worked as a file clerk before starting her family. She had an exceptional talent for needlework and was a member of Richmond First Baptist Church and the Acts Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Vernon Colaw.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Linkous, and husband, Bob, and Linda Colaw; a sister, Betsy Karlsen; brothers-in-law, June Colaw, and wife, Kathleen, and Hayward Colaw; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was December 30 at Bliley’s-Central in Richmond, Virginia. Interment was in Westhampton Memorial Park.
