The mill and lumber yard of George Craig and Sons at Winterburn, West Virginia, located near Thornwood, five miles east of Durbin. The band mill was built in 1905 when George F. Craig and Sons of Philadelphia, Pa. purchased large tracts of timber on the East Fork of the Greenbrier River, Little River, and Allegheny Mountain from the Pocahontas Tanning Company.
