Hosterman is located on the Greenbrier River 6.2 miles northeast of Cass. In 1902 the Hosterman Lumber Company constructed a mill at what was then called Collins. The operation was in bankruptcy by 1908 and finally sold to H. C. Wilmoth and Sons in October 1912.
