Peggy Handy

Peggy Frances Yattes Handy, age 76, of Buckeye, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at her home.

Born June 14, 1938, at Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Meade and Alease Thurman Yattes.

Peggy retired as head of human resources for a security company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Handy, III; and a daughter, Karen Elliott.

She is survived by a son, William E. Handy, and wife, Missy, of Buckeye; a sister, Patricia Bass, of Ellicott City, Maryland; a brother, Jimmy Yattes, of York, Pennsylvania; and a grandchild, Cami Cosner.

Funeral service is Thursday, November 20, 1 p.m. at the National Funeral Home in Falls Church, Virginia, with Rev. John Williams officiating. Interment will be in the National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Virginia. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
