Pearl Russakoff

Pearl Mae Russakoff, age 94, of Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania.

Born June 25, 1923, at Durbin, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Troxie Townsend Brubaker.

Pearl was employed for 25 years by Prince George’s County school system as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Braddock Grange No. 365 in Frederick, Maryland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Miller Spinoe; second husband, Abraham Albert Russakoff; a son, Michael Lee Spinoe; a brother, Harry Brubaker; a sister, Gladys Simmons; and step-mother, Vina Hottinger.

he is survived by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Spinoe, of Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Karrie Coble, and husband, Scott, of Berkeley Springs; two grandsons, Michael L. Spinoe, Jr., of Frederick, Maryland, and Steven M. Spinoe, and wife, Laura, of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania; six great-grandchildren, Scott Coble, Jr., Kelly Smith, and husband, Travis, Michael Coble, Ian Taylor Spinoe, Jack Spinoe and Cora Rose Spinoe; seven great-great-grandchildren, Tyler Coble, Evan Coble, Ayden Coble, Leon Estrada Smith, Kaelynnn Estrada Smith, Storm Smith and Araya Smith; and two sisters, Donna Cunkleman, and husband, Wayne and Doris Atwood.

Memorial service was held January 10 at Grove Funeral Home in Hancock, Maryland, with Rev. Richard L. Bernhard officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pearl’s name may be made to Warfordsburg Senior Center, 209 Long Hollow Road, Warfordsburg, PA 17267.
