Oren Morgan

Oren Donald “Don” Morgan, Jr, age 74, of Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at his home.

Born August 12, 1941, in Clifton Forge, Virginia, he was a son of the late Oren D. Morgan, Sr., and Helen Barger Morgan.

Don was a retired millwright and mechanic for Westcavo of Covington, Virginia. He was a member of the United States Army Reserve; and also a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he served as chief cook. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, and hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Morgan and Calvin Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Taylor Morgan; a daughter, Amy Morgan Brammer, and husband, Randy, of Alderson; two sons, Michael Morgan, and wife, Kristy, of Covington, Virginia, and Jason Morgan, and wife, Tanya, of Roanoke, Virginia; a sister, Jane Thompson, and husband, Steve, of Luray, Virginia; a brother, Richard Morgan, and wife, Wanda, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Carol Morgan; 10 grandchildren, Mikayla, Autumn, Adam, Austin, Taylor, Joey, Thrice, Katelyn, Harley and Allysen; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was at Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge, Virginia, with Pastor John Godfrey officiating. Interment was in Alleghany Memorial Park in Low Moor, Virginia.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2819 Douthat Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
