Pocahontas County High School Golf hosted a meet at The Raven at Snowshoe Mountain Resort August 25, coming in a close second with a total score of 158 against Webster County, whose score was 156.

A second PCHS team of four had a total score of 183.

Individual scores were: Dillon Dunz, 41; Bailey Zickefoose, 58; Warren Burns, 59; Reggie Whiting, 60; Tristen O’Steen, 61; Rachel Felton, 69; Reagan Friel, 63; and Stone Hall, 59.

On August 30, the team traveled to Pendelton County, where it placed third against Moorefield, East Hardy, Hampsire and Pendelton County.

Individual scores were: Dillon Dunz, 44; Bailey Zickefoose, 52; Warren Burns, 51; Reggie Whiting, 59; Tristen O’Steen, 57; Reagan Friel, 65; and Rachel Felton, 63.

The team total was 204.

Moorefield scored 174; East Hardy, 191; Pendleton County, 205; and Hampsire 225.

September 1, the team hosted at The Raven.

The team finished the match with a total score of 150, defeating Midland Trail, which finished with a 175.

Individual scores: Dillon Dunz, 39; Bailey Zickefoose, 55; Reggie Whiting, 56; Warren Burns, 64; Reagan Friel, 62; Tristen O’Steen, 51; Rachel Felton, 65; Austin Hilleary, 67; and Nolan Streets, 64.

The top four scoring individuals made the team score.

The team will host again at The Raven, Thursday, September 8, at 4 p.m. It will then travel to Highland County Tuesday, September 13.
