Nancy Carr

Nancy Lee Hardy Carr, 81, of Durbin, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Born August 8, 1940, on Twin Mountain Orchard in Purgitsville, she was a daughter of the late Ervin C. and Ida Evans Hardy.

Nancy was a born-again Christian, washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. She was a 1958 graduate of Keyser High School, and an exceptional wife and mother. She greatly enjoyed cooking, gardening and visits from her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, George Hardy; and brother-in-law, Darley Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Larry Donald Carr; daughters, Dr. Cynthia Carr Price, and husband, Jeff, of Conway, Arkansas, and Valerie Carr Lambert, and husband, Jim “Eddie,” of Durbin; sons, David Carr, and wife, Tina, of Lamoni, Iowa, Shawn Carr, and wife, Amanda, of Bartow, and Brett Carr, and wife, Treana, of Durbin; 14 grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Dustin, Dervin, Matthew, Delton, Spencer, Dayla, Joshua, Kindra, Brittany, Brandal, Aliza and Aleea; five great-grandchildren, Zoey, Trinity, Cameron, Rory and Nolan, and one expected to arrive November 2021.

Funeral service was held Monday, September 27, 2021, at Hebron Baptist Church in Green Bank with Pastor Jared Harper officiating.

Burial was in Nottingham Cemetery at Brush Run.
