Born February 15, 1935, in Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Dency Eddie and Gosha Underwood Sharp.

Myra was a nurse aide at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital and worked at Hanover Shoe Company until her retirement in 1990. She was of the Baptist faith. Myra looked forward to working in her vegetable garden each summer and loved to can all the foods that it produced.

Myra had a wonderful love for cats, especially for her grand-cat, Panther James

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dice Sharp; and three sisters, Georgia Hutchings, Mary Tersigni and Violet Banton.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Blankenship, and wife, Victoria, of Cass; brother, Dency “Bus” Sharp, of Canton, Ohio; sister, Betty McPaters, of Marlinton; and several nieces and nephews.

A special “Thank You” to Leslie Wilfong and friend, Kathy, and Sandy Hutchings who were there for her final hours.

In keeping with Myra’s wishes, there will be no service and the body will be cremated.
