Mildred Walton

Mildred Ethel Walton, age 92, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Born March 24, 1926, at Hillsboro, she was a daughter of the late James Winters and Georgie Virginia Morgan Jordan.

Mildred was a retired nurse’s aide from Denmar Hospital and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Imon Walton; daughter, Nancy Frazee; brothers, Harry Jordan and James Jordan; and sisters, Frances Trader and Nancy Fowler.

She is survived by her daughter, Clarice Dunz, and husband, William, of Indiana; a son, Winters Walton, of Hillsboro; sister, Lucy Vandergrift, of Fairmont; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Thursday, May 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at VanReenen Funeral Home in Marlinton. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 25, 11 a.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Pete Scott officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
