Mary Vinyard

Mary Ruth Vinyard peacefully left this earth Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte.

Born May 12, 1925, in Renick, she was a daughter of the late Clowney and Minnie McMillion Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee W. Jenkins; her second husband, Russell Vinyard; her eldest son, Terry Lee Jenkins; and her eldest sister, Mattie Brown Sinclair.

She is survived by her children, Jane Jenkins Schmidlapp, and husband, Alan, of Connecticut, and Ira Gene “Butch” Jenkins, of Florida; her eldest surviving sister, Mildred Brown “Brownie” McLean, of Florida; her younger brother, Eddie Gene Beard, and wife, Mary Alice, of Lewisburg; and loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins.

Per her request, there will be a private family memorial held at a later date.
